The Vale Clinic is a physician-led aesthetic medicine practice on Beverly Boulevard. We do a short list of treatments (injectables, laser, membership skincare) with the same board-certified providers, in the same rooms, every visit. No rotating juniors, no upsell scripts.

Treatments

A short list, done exceptionally well

Injectable Aesthetics

Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and the full Juvederm and Restylane hyaluronic acid families. Every injection performed by a board-certified physician or trained nurse practitioner with physician oversight. We treat conservatively and prefer natural motion to frozen surfaces.

Laser and Energy-Based Treatments

Fraxel Dual, IPL, Clear + Brilliant, BBL, and Moxi resurfacing. Pigmentation, sun damage, texture, and early photoaging. Every laser cleared by Dr. Ito before treatment. We do not offer six-pack laser packages before we know whether laser is the right modality for you.

Medical-Grade Skincare

Compounded tretinoin protocols, prescription-strength cosmeceuticals, and a rotating in-house formulary developed with UCLA dermatology consulting pharmacists. Included in the Membership tier or available a la carte.

Consultation and Skin Assessment

Ninety-minute new patient consultations with a physician, including full-face imaging, medical history review, and a written treatment plan you keep. Consultation fee is applied to your first treatment. No commitment, no membership required.

Dr. Sena Ito opened The Vale because West Hollywood was full of medspas and short on medical rigor.

The house

Dr. Sena Ito opened The Vale because West Hollywood was full of medspas and short on medical rigor.

After eight years as an attending at UCLA's dermatology residency program, Dr. Ito wanted a private practice that took the medicine as seriously as the aesthetics. In her clinical experience the two were not in tension. The best cosmetic outcomes always came from good dermatology first. But the West Hollywood medspa market was structured around the opposite premise. Rooms full of laser machines. A single physician who signed off remotely on treatments performed by rotating juniors. Aggressive membership contracts with cancellation traps.

The Vale opened on Beverly Boulevard in 2013 with the practice she wanted to work in. Every treatment, without exception, is performed by a board-certified physician or a Vale-trained nurse practitioner under direct supervision. Membership is month-to-month with a thirty-day cancellation. Consultations include an actual skin assessment. And we say no to patients whose concerns are not something we can help with. We send them to dermatology, to plastic surgery, or home, depending on what they actually need.

Twelve years in, most of our patients came from a friend's recommendation and stay for years. Our retention rate is above ninety percent annually. The practice runs on repeat visits from patients who trust the outcome, not on aggressive acquisition. That is the model.

The best cosmetic outcomes always come from good dermatology first. We built the practice around that.

Amelia runs the day-to-day of our membership program. She has been with The Vale since 2019 and previously spent six years in dermatology at Stanford. Every visit with her is under Dr. Ito's direct supervision.

Members

I have been a member for three years and my skin has been steadily better every single quarter. It is boring and consistent and that is exactly what I want. Dr. Fuentes has never once tried to sell me something I did not ask for.

Before your first visit

Questions we hear from new members

Ninety minutes with a board-certified physician. It starts with a medical history review and full-face imaging on our VISIA system. The physician does a skin-and-facial assessment, walks you through what she sees, and then discusses what she would and would not recommend. You leave with a written treatment plan. The consultation is ninety dollars and applies against your first treatment or your first month of membership.

Membership is month-to-month. You choose a tier (Vale Essentials at 275 per month, Vale Standard at 550, Vale Signature at 1,150), and each tier includes a defined set of monthly services plus a monthly credit that can be applied to any treatment. There is no annual contract. Cancel with thirty days notice. Any unused credits expire six months after cancellation.

Aesthetic treatments are not covered by insurance. If Dr. Ito sees something during your consultation that is medical rather than cosmetic (a suspicious mole, a skin cancer, medical acne), she will refer you to her clinical dermatology partners at UCLA who will bill your medical insurance directly. Nothing cosmetic is ever billed to insurance.

Every new patient consultation is with a board-certified physician (Dr. Ito or Dr. Fuentes). Injectable treatments are always with a physician. Membership skincare visits (facials, peels, medical-grade skincare) are typically with Amelia, our nurse practitioner, under Dr. Ito's direct supervision. If you would prefer to see the physician for every visit, we can arrange that at physician-visit pricing.

We do not do it. If your goal is a dramatic overfilled aesthetic, we will not be a good fit and we will say so directly. Our approach is conservative. We prefer natural motion, small-dose Botox, and filler placed to restore rather than augment. If a patient wants something we do not offer, we will refer to a physician who does that work well rather than talk them into a service we do not believe in.

The building has a validated garage entered from Norma Place. Two hours of parking is included with any visit. Street parking on Beverly is metered and typically full during business hours.

New patient consultations

Schedule a thirty-minute in-person assessment

New patient visits are always with a board-certified provider, in person, and include a full skin and facial assessment. There is no upsell script, and we will tell you honestly if we cannot help you or if what you want is not what you need. Consultations are ninety dollars, applied against your first treatment or membership.
