Charleston, SC · October 2024
Middleton Place Plantation Wedding
A late October ceremony beneath the oldest landscaped gardens in America. Spanish moss, afternoon light, and a reception that ran until the grounds crew arrived at midnight.
Charleston, SC · Est. 2016
Wedding photography in Charleston and across the American South. Forty-eight hours of editing per wedding. Three hundred images minimum. Six-week delivery.
The photographer
I studied documentary photography at SCAD and spent six years shooting editorial assignments before turning full-time to weddings in 2016. That training shows up in how I work: I move quietly, I anticipate rather than direct, and I stay well past the last dance.
Every wedding I take is exclusive for that date. I do not double-book, and I do not send associates. When you hire me, I am there.
I am based in Charleston and travel throughout the South. Destination work beyond the region is available for three dates per year.

A late October ceremony beneath the oldest landscaped gardens in America. Spanish moss, afternoon light, and a reception that ran until the grounds crew arrived at midnight.
Charleston, SC · March 2024
Twelve guests in the garden of a private Battery Street home. The ceremony lasted eleven minutes. We spent two hours after that walking the neighborhood with available light.
Charleston, SC · June 2023
A Kiawah Island couple who wanted the city skyline at golden hour. Rooftop ceremony at 6:30, dinner inside, then back up for the full sunset. Four hundred and twelve images delivered.
Savannah, GA · April 2023
A private home on Jones Street, forty guests, and a magnolia tree that had been in the family for sixty years. Ceremony under the branches, reception in the carriage house.
Asheville, NC · September 2022
Three days in the Blue Ridge. Rehearsal dinner Friday, ceremony and reception Saturday, brunch portraits Sunday morning. Nine hundred frames across the weekend.
Isle of Palms, SC · August 2022
Fifty guests on a private stretch of beach. August light, high humidity, and a tide that cooperated exactly once. That was the frame.

Clients and colleagues
Margot sent me 340 images and I could not find a single one I wanted to cut. That has never happened with any photographer I have hired in twenty years of planning weddings.
She photographed our rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, and stayed for the whole reception. She was invisible the entire time. The pictures show a day we recognize. Most wedding photos do not.
We hired Margot for an elopement with twelve people. She made it feel like the most important event she had ever photographed. I think she actually meant it.
Before you book
Most wedding dates book eight to fourteen months out. Spring weekends in Charleston book faster. If you have a date in mind, reach out immediately -- I hold one date per inquiry for three business days while we discuss.
Eight hours of on-site coverage, all images edited by hand in Lightroom, a minimum of three hundred high-resolution files delivered via private online gallery, one printed 6x8 look-book of forty pages, and a fifteen-minute call after delivery to review the gallery together.
Six weeks from the wedding date for the full gallery. Sneak-peek images (ten to fifteen frames) go out within forty-eight hours. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee.
Yes. Travel and accommodation are included in all packages for destinations within South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. For destinations beyond that, I accept three destination bookings per year. Travel costs are added to the package at cost.
Yes. Every package includes full personal print rights. You can print anywhere you like. I also offer prints and albums through my preferred lab at cost, which typically beats retail by thirty to forty percent.
We work with it. Rain, fog, and overcast light produce some of the best frames of any wedding I have shot. I do not reschedule for weather. If the ceremony is moved indoors, I adapt. The only thing I cannot control is complete darkness with no venue lighting -- talk to your venue about backup lighting if your reception is outdoors after sunset.
Availability
Most dates book eight to fourteen months in advance. Send your date, venue, and a note about what you are looking for. I respond within one business day.
