Weddings planned for people who do not want to spend a year stressed about their wedding

We work with 40 to 200 guests across the Hudson Valley and Catskills. Full planning, partial planning, and month-of coordination for couples who want a thoughtful partner, not a vendor who disappears after the deposit.

Planning is logistics. Good planning is also listening.

Our Approach

Planning is logistics. Good planning is also listening.

Linden Hill Events was started in 2015 by Claire Ashworth after a decade coordinating large-scale events in New York City. She moved to the Hudson Valley because she wanted smaller rooms, better light, and clients she could actually spend time with.

We take eight to twelve weddings per year. That number is not going up. It keeps us able to give every couple a planner who knows their file, has visited their venue, and has a backup plan before the morning of.

We are based in Hudson, NY. We work across Columbia County, Dutchess County, and the Catskills. We have planned weddings in barns, riverfront estates, converted mills, and a sheep farm. We do not have a preferred venue list that secretly drives a referral fee.

Eight to twelve weddings a year. That number is not going up.

Planning Packages

We meet you where you are

Full Planning

We join from the beginning: venue search, vendor selection, budget management, design direction, timeline, rehearsal, and day-of coordination. For couples starting from scratch or who want a single point of contact for everything.

Lead time
365 days
Guests
40–200

Partial Planning

You have a venue and some vendors locked in. We fill the gaps, build out your timeline, manage all communication in the final six months, and lead on the day. The most common choice for organized couples who need bandwidth, not hand-holding.

Lead time
180 days
Guests
40–200

Month-of Coordination

Your planning is done. We step in six weeks out, confirm every vendor, build a master timeline, run the rehearsal, and execute the day. For couples who planned it themselves but want a professional running the floor.

Lead time
42 days

40–150

Past Weddings

Weddings we have had the privilege of planning

Riva and ThomasFull Planning

Hudson River Estate, September 2024

Riva and Thomas

A late September wedding for 120 guests at an 1860s estate on the Hudson River. The couple wanted something that felt like a private dinner party that had simply grown. We sourced a local florist for garden-style arrangements and worked with a Rhinebeck caterer who farms on-site.

Nadia and PriyaFull Planning

Kinderhook, NY, July 2024

Nadia and Priya

An 85-guest summer wedding in a converted barn in Kinderhook with a ceremony under a 200-year-old linden tree. The couple designed their own ceremony, wrote every vow, and needed a planner who would protect that time rather than fill it.

Margaret and ColePartial Planning

Catskills Farm, October 2023

Margaret and Cole

A 58-guest October wedding at a working sheep farm in the Catskills. Tented, candlelit, and intentionally simple. Our job was making simple look effortless rather than unfinished.

James and ElliotFull Planning

Millbrook Estate, June 2023

James and Elliot

A 165-guest June wedding at a Millbrook estate with three separate dining spaces and a ceremony on the lawn. Logistically complex. Emotionally straightforward: two families who had never met that weekend and were close by Sunday.

Sophie and AdrienMonth-of Coordination

Hudson, NY, May 2024

Sophie and Adrien

A 72-guest spring wedding at an art-and-architecture center in Hudson. The venue had its own visual language; our job was building a day that fit inside it, not over it.

From Couples We Have Worked With

What they said

Claire noticed things we had not thought to worry about and fixed them before we knew they were problems. We spent our wedding day present, not managing. That was the whole point.
Riva and Thomas
Hudson River Estate, September 2024
We interviewed five planners. Linden Hill was the only one who asked about our families before asking about our budget. That told us everything about how the year would go.
Nadia and Priya
Kinderhook, NY, July 2024
We chose month-of coordination because we thought we had it handled. We did not fully have it handled. Claire had us handled. Big difference.

Before We Talk

Common questions

Eight to twelve, across all three service tiers. We keep it there so every couple gets a planner who is not splitting their attention across twenty open files. If we are already booked for your date, we will tell you directly on the inquiry call.

Occasionally, with a travel fee. Our core region is Columbia, Dutchess, and Ulster Counties in New York. We have worked in the Berkshires, the Connecticut coast, and the North Fork of Long Island for couples we already had a relationship with.

Forty guests for full and partial planning. Month-of coordination works at any size, though we have found it is most useful for weddings of 50 or more where vendor logistics genuinely need a point person.

For full planning, twelve to eighteen months is comfortable. Partial planning, eight to twelve months. Month-of coordination, no later than three months before the date, though six months gives us more useful runway.

No. We have vendors we trust and will recommend, and we will tell you why we trust them. We do not receive referral fees from any of them. If you have a vendor you love, we will work with them. We do reserve the right to flag concerns about any vendor whose work we have seen go wrong.

Full planning includes unlimited communication, all vendor negotiations, full budget tracking, a day-of team of two, and a post-wedding debrief. Partial planning and month-of packages are itemized on your proposal. We charge a flat fee, not a percentage of your budget.
