Is Angi worth it for contractors?

When Angi is the right call
Angi can pay off when you need work this month and your Google Maps listing does not bring in calls yet. A new business with few reviews, a crew with open days on the calendar, or a trade where one job covers many leads can all make it work. Treat it like any paid channel: if your cost per booked job stays well under what a job earns you, keep going.
When you’ve outgrown it
It stops paying when only a few leads turn into jobs, because you pay for each lead whether it books or not. It also stops paying when the same homeowners could have found you on Google. Every month you rent leads instead of building your own listing, you start the next month from zero.
Leads you buy stop the day the spend stops. Reviews and a Google Maps listing you own stay yours after that.

How much does Angi charge for leads?
Angi did not list per-lead prices on its public pro sign-up page when we checked on October 20, 2026. In January 2023 the FTC described the pricing of HomeAdvisor, Inc., which does business as Angi Leads, as a yearly membership, generally $287.99, plus a fee for each lead. Ask Angi for your current per-lead price in writing before you set a budget.
Is Angi Leads worth it for contractors?
Divide your monthly Angi spend by the jobs you booked from Angi leads. That is your cost per booked job. If it is well under the profit on an average job, Angi is working for now. If it is not, that money may do more on your own Google Maps listing. The calculator on this page does the math.
What did the FTC say about HomeAdvisor and Angi Leads?
In January 2023 the FTC issued an order requiring HomeAdvisor, Inc., which does business as Angi Leads and HomeAdvisor powered by Angi, to pay up to $7.2 million over how it marketed leads to service providers. Yes, through HomeStars. Angi Inc.'s 2025 annual report names HomeStars, which it owns and operates, as its home services marketplace in Canada.
Should I cancel Angi?
Not before you know your numbers. Put three months of Angi spend, leads and booked jobs into the calculator. If your cost per booked job is higher than what a job earns you, start building your Google Maps listing and lower your Angi budget in steps. Check your agreement for renewal dates before you cancel.
