What does “citation rate” actually mean?
We send the same set of buyer-intent prompts (e.g., “best food display risers”, “ac repair tampa”, etc.) to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity every week. Citation rate is the percentage of those prompts where the engine actually mentioned this business in its answer.
