[ Premium web design cost ]
What premium web design actually costs.
Every agency dodges this. Here is the honest number, in three bands, with what each one includes and what changes it. If you email us we tell you the same thing.
[ The three bands ]
Where most projects land.
Starter
$6,000 – $9,000
A business selling one thing well.
- ·Five to eight pages
- ·Custom design, no starter theme
- ·Copywriting for every page
- ·One round of photo direction
- ·SEO baseline (schema, sitemap, bot allowlist, Bing Webmaster)
- ·Analytics and search console wired up
- ·Thirty days of post-launch fixes
Full
$12,000 – $25,000
A business with a real catalog or service list, or one that wants a homepage story like the Crateworks case study.
- ·Ten to twenty pages
- ·Everything in Starter
- ·Structured product or service catalog with CMS
- ·Homepage story (scroll narrative, category pages, or interactive flow)
- ·Programmatic SEO for repeatable page types
- ·Full photography direction across the site
- ·Sixty days of post-launch fixes
Enterprise
$30,000+
A multi-brand company, an ecommerce catalog with hundreds of SKUs, or a business that needs custom integrations (CRM, ERP, dealer portal, quoting engine).
- ·Custom scope
- ·Everything in Full
- ·Headless CMS + custom data model
- ·Third-party integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, custom APIs)
- ·Ongoing performance work built into the engagement
- ·Retainer for maintenance and iteration
[ What moves the number ]
Why one Starter and another are $3,000 apart.
Whether you have copy ready
If you send us five pages of finished copy at kickoff, we build faster and cheaper. If we're writing from a blank page, expect the number to sit at the top of the band. Copy is where projects slow down.
Photography
Your own product or job-site photography is the cheapest option. A shoot we direct in your city is the middle option. Licensed stock is not on the menu. Sites that use stock look like sites that use stock.
Number of unique layouts
A ten-page site with one repeatable layout costs less than a ten-page site where every page needs its own layout. Custom homepage stories (like the Crateworks scroll) are a separate line item.
Integrations
A Calendly embed is free. A Salesforce two-way sync isn't. If we need to talk to your CRM, ERP, quoting tool or MLS feed, that's scoped separately.
[ Questions we get asked ]
Straight answers.
Why don't you just have a fixed price?
Because two sites at the same page count can be twice as much work. A five-page site with one service is different work from a five-page site that catalogues 40 products. The ranges give you an honest zone. The number gets specific after a call.
How is this paid?
Three payments. A third at kickoff to hold the calendar, a third when the design is signed off, a third at launch. If we blow a deadline that's on us, that doesn't move the payment forward.
What if I need something small?
If you need a one-page site with no CMS and no measurement, we're not the right agency and we'll tell you. There are good template shops for that and they cost a tenth of the number below.
Do you keep charging after launch?
No, unless you want us to. Post-launch fixes for thirty days are included. After that you can hire us for a monthly retainer, or you can take the site and go.
What changes the number most?
Content. If you have photos and copy ready to go, the build finishes on schedule. If we're writing copy from scratch and directing photography for the whole site, expect the number to sit at the top of its band.
The specific number takes thirty minutes.
Tell us what you're building. We'll tell you which band, why, and what would push it up or down. No pitch deck.
