AI builders vs Formula Won Labs

AI built your site in 30 seconds. That's why nobody's reading it.

Durable, 10Web, Hostinger AI, Wix ADI. They all promise a site in seconds. What they deliver is a site whose copy is indistinguishable from every other business in your industry that clicked the same button.

When AI builders is the right call

AI builders are legitimately useful for launching a placeholder site in under a minute while you figure out your positioning. If you're testing whether a business idea is even worth pursuing, or building a landing page for an ad campaign, an AI builder is fine.

When you’ve outgrown it

AI builders break the moment you need customers to CHOOSE you specifically. The AI doesn't know what makes your business different from the roofer three towns over. It writes the same paragraph for both of you. Google's helpful-content update penalizes exactly this kind of content. AI answer engines don't quote it. Real prospects skim it and move on.

The pain we see every week

We audit AI-built sites weekly. Every one has the same tells: three-word headlines, generic value props, no proof, no faces, no specific customer stories. Prospects can smell it in a second, and so can Google.

Common questions

Can't I just take the AI-built site and edit it into something real?

You can, and it's worth a try if you have the time. Most business owners don't. Editing generic AI copy into specific human copy is more work than writing from scratch, because you're fighting the frame the AI set.

What about Wix ADI or Squarespace AI?

Same problem. The AI is generating from templates + your industry. It cannot know what makes YOUR business different because you haven't told it. Real positioning comes from actual interviews with actual customers, not a prompt.

Will Google penalize AI-generated content?

Google's stated position is they don't care how content is created, they care whether it's helpful. In practice, generic AI content ranks worse than specific human content because it fails the "helpful" test. Same outcome whether you call it a penalty or not.

What if I use AI as a starting point and then rewrite everything?

That works. That's roughly what we do internally. The AI produces a draft, a human rewrites for specificity, we ship. The distinction that matters is whether a human ever fought the AI's frame.

Are AI-only builders ever going to be enough for local businesses?

Probably. Not this year. When they can interview a business, watch a customer call, and ingest actual review corpora, they might. Until then, they miss the "why you" part of positioning, which is the whole game.
